"No cast ever thrown is identical to any other cast ever thrown. The variables of caster, rod, and conditions are too great. Helios 3F was designed to significantly reduce the variables at the point of release, focusing the energy of the cast to the intended target. No matter what happens behind you, the energy of the forward cast is crisply released through a tight window created by the most significant reduction in horizontal and vertical tip frequency ever conceived. It is a rifle in a world of muskets and it autocorrects the variables of the cast to the target with incomparable precision."
The Helios 3F is more focused on feel, with a slower action, than the Helios 3D. This slower action means more touch with the rod and makes it a perfect choice for dry fly anglers and those with a slower casting stroke.
The 8' 4" 3-Weight is purpose built. It's not for everyone, but those who know, know. It's unique length and light weight make it the ideal rod for tiny, technical hatches. Spring creeks anyone?
The 8' 6" 4-Weight is an ideal dry fly rod for smaller hatches and technical situations like spring creeks. Tricos on the Missouri, fall BWOs, PMDs on the spring creeks are all ideal uses for this rod.
The 9' 4-Weight gives you a bit more reach than the 8' 6". The extra length helps you mend line easier, and arguably adds some accuracy and distance to your cast.
An 8' 6" 5-Weight fly rod is considered by many to be the perfect weight for Western trout fishing. It's heavy enough for larger dry flies and double nymph rigs, but still delicate enough to make an incredible dry fly rod.
The 9' 5-Weight has the same benefits of the 8' 6", with a bit of extra length for mend-ability, distance and accuracy.
