Biking North Fork Dry Creek

North Fork Dry Creek is one of the best mountain bike rides in Montana. The ride features classic singletrack framed by what are some of the most stunning views of the Absaroka Range and Paradise Valley.

To find the trailhead, travel down Highway 89 South about 10 miles to Divide Road, turn left on Old Yellowstone Trail, then right onto Trail Creek Road and last, North Fork Dry Creek Road to the trailhead.

From the trailhead, most ride the six miles up the closed-to-vehicles road and then descend the trail. You’ll gain just short of 2,000 feet ascending the road, which means you’ll descend that hard-earned elevation on sweet singletrack. We like to say the trail has good fitness benefits.

This trail is set in some of the best wildlife habitat in Montana. It wouldn’t be unusual to see elk, deer, and bears. And if you’re like us, and love wildflowers, you won’t be disappointed. Have a great time enjoying one of the best trails Montana has to offer. Please tread lightly and leave no trace, and if you need further detail, stop in or give us a call.
