We are proud to offer several great options for those learning to fly fish, from private lessons to group events. We know we all start somewhere, and are here to support those starting out on their fly fishing journey.
Taught by Kristy Aserlind
It really helps to understand what fly fishing is all about. In addition to learning about the major aquatic insect groups, and the flies that imitate them, you’ll also learn about the equipment: rods, reels, lines, tippet, etc. The lesson also covers basic knots, fly rod and reel set up, personal conservation, plus casting and line management techniques.
Want to put your new knowledge to use? Add on a two-hour walk/wade guided trip!
Included: use of rods / reels, if needed, flies
Not Included: MT fishing license (if taking walk/wade add-on,) rental boots and waders (not typically needed in in summer months,) gratuity
For pricing and availability, contact kristy@danbaileys.com
