2024 Wild at Heart kids camp

Dan Bailey's Outdoor Co.  and  Livingston Recreation are excited to announce the return of the Wild At Heart Camp, a free outdoor art and conservation camp for kids ages 5 to 12 on Tuesday, August 13th, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event will take place in and around Sacajawea Park, starting at the Band Shell. Lunch will be provided by the Livingston Food and Resource Center

For the last two years, this camp has delighted and educated children in our community, serving as a wonderful send-off to summer. This year Dan Bailey’s has partnered up with Livingston Recreation and the Livingston Food and Resource Center to expand the camp, make it easier to register, and provide an even better experience for the kids of our community.

The camp will offer activities such as fly fishing, ceramics, painting, biking safety and skills, woodlot science/scavenger hunt, music, reading, yoga, dance, and more. We are still developing the curriculum, but our intention is to create a restorative experience for our community this summer and to address the challenges families are facing with childcare options.

Sponsored by Dan Bailey’s, dedicated to keeping rivers and people wild, this camp is perfectly timed to blend conservation, preservation, and education while providing enriching activities for Livingston’s youth. Our ultimate goal is to establish this camp as an annual event and to continue expanding opportunities and activities for children.
