This destination is an easy hike into the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness. The trail is a gentle grade through mixed aspen and pine as it plots its course up the glacially carved West Boulder River Valley. A few open parks provide scenic vantages of this beautiful mountain valley en route to the meadows.
At the meadows, the stream calmly meanders through the lush grasses and adds appropriately to the relaxing surroundings. Fish, camp, read, swim, have lunch, or just gaze about. The meadows are a terrific destination, and you will not be disappointed to have made the venture.
Remember to tread lightly and leave no trace.
